Calvary Kids Team

Roles and Expectations

Our Calvary Kids team are a passionate and committed group of volunteers who love our Calvary Kids.

Calvary Kids Teacher

As a Calvary Kids Teacher, you will lead and teach a Calvary Kids class on a Sunday morning, approximately once in every four weeks. We will provide you with lesson materials from the Lifeway curriculum and any resources you need for the class. You will need to prepare for the lesson, ensure that the children are well cared for during the service, and seek to invest in their lives in the realm of discipleship. You will work directly under the Calvary Kids Ministry Leader, who will provide any support you need while serving in the Calvary Kids ministry.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Pray regularly for the children in your class.
  • Prepare well for your lesson.
  • On mornings that you are scheduled to teach, arrive at 9:30 am to ensure the classroom is set up and ready for the service.
  • Ensure that the children in your class feel welcome, included, cared for and encouraged in their faith.
  • To protect both the children and you, all Calvary Kids Teachers will need to be vetted by the NZ Police Vetting Service to serve in the Calvary Kids Ministry.
