January 12-26, 2023
The Ark: Ministry and Conference Centre (2596 Cambridge Road, Te Awamutu 3879)
The Cultivate Summer Programme is a two-week discipleship programme designed to immerse young men and women in the Word of God, to bring them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and to seek God’s will for their lives. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the [c]worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:1-3) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:22-25)
It is our desire to see our Students grow in their relationship with Jesus during and outside of the Cultivate Discipleship Programme! This summer our theme is From Faith to Fruit sourced from Hebrews 11:1-3 and Galatians 5:22-25; we will be focusing on the concept and character of faith, leading us to consider the fruit of the Spirit that is born from an abiding faith. Our faith is a result of the great hope that we have in Christ; faith gives shape and substance to something and makes something visible that is not seen. We will explore the abiding faith illustrated in the lives of the men and women in Hebrews 11. With knowledge of the truth that “faith without works is dead” and “without faith it is impossible to please God”, we will look at the natural process whereby our abiding faith is evidenced in fruit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
It is our heart that our Students leave this Summer Programme with a greater understanding that when their abiding faith is placed in our great God, they fulfil the law of Christ, producing in them spiritual fruit.
Applications are now open and will close on Friday, December 2.
