Growth Groups

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24-25

Growth Groups are a key aspect of our church community. According to Acts 2:46, the early Church met both in large gatherings (the temple courts) and in small gatherings (house-to-house). We love the weekend service, but believe that authentic ministry happens in smaller groups. Growth Groups provide an opportunity to develop closer, more meaningful relationships within our church family, to support and encourage one another with prayer and counsel, to ask questions and discuss issues regarding our faith, and to find accountability as we grow in our walk with God.

What to expect

Most Growth Groups meet weekly in the home of a group member and are limited to about 10-15 people. Generally, groups gather based on location, but there are some groups formed around peoples’ life stages or interests. Growth Groups run for eight weeks at a time, beginning in the second week of each school term. We usually go through discussion questions based on the Sunday sermon series, but sometimes we will study a book together instead.
